50 for 50

Celebrating 50 Years

On December 4, 1963, a group of Moore County citizens met on the second floor of the Riddle Building in Carthage, NC. This newly formed Board of Trustees, led by the first Chairman, H. Clifton Blue, laid the groundwork for what was to become Sandhills Community College.

Sandhills Community College will celebrate its Fiftieth Anniversary on December 4, 2013. Each week up until that date, we will present a feature about people who have helped shape Sandhills or have been shaped by Sandhills. Click the 50 for 50 link to read their stories.

Graduates are also participating in interviews with the local radio station. Those will be archived here - click the Radio Interviews link to listen to those graduate’s stories.

Alumni and friends and family of Alumni can support the College and leave a permanent mark on our campus by purchasing an engraved brick for the Graduate Walk.

At our Creating Success section of the site you can read the stories of a sampling of graduates in a variety of programs.
