SCC AdmissionsWelcome to the Admissions section of our website. Here you will find everything you need to know about getting started at Sandhills Community College.

Did you know that we maintain an “open-door” admission policy? If you are a high school graduate or are 16 or older and hold a high school equivalency certificate or an adult high school diploma, you can attend Sandhills.

New students are not required to take the SAT or ACT to enroll at Sandhills. If you have taken either of these tests, we may be able to use your scores for class placement. We will ask you to take the Acuplacer Test, which is used to make sure you begin at the proper level classes, not too hard nor too easy.

If you are 18 or older but do not have a high school diploma or adult high school diploma, you should look into our adult basic education, high school equivalency certification , or adult high school classes. These are taught through Continuing Education. You may also enroll in curriculum courses as a non degree / special student.
